It’s been about a year since we saw her last on the small screen. Post her engagement to the TV hunk, Eijaz Khan, Anita Hasnandani has preferred a low profile, much to the chagrin of her fans.

It’s learnt that the actress has bagged a role in the longest running Balaji soap, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. When quizzed by Telly Buzz about the new development, Anita says, “Yes it’s true that I have been approached by Balaji to do a role in Kyunki. Actually, it’s more of a cameo appearance that I will be enacting. I will be playing Nakul’s love interest in the show and my innocence and simplicity will make a better person out of him.”

Accepting that she is planning a full fledged comeback in the coming time, Anita further adds, “At the moment, I am thoroughly enjoying my sabbatical and I accepted the Kyunki offer since it has been quite sometime since I have done anything on the small screen.”

Ask her if she is repeating the magic of Kavvyanjali by coming together with Eijaz Khan in any of the upcoming shows, she clarifies, “Well, we haven’t thought about such a thing at the moment. Maybe it happens in the long run,” she quips.

On the film front, the actress has recently completed shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s film Dus Kahaniyan, which is slated to release in the coming months.
