Ashima is appearing for the first semester exam of MBA. She has finished two papers and working hard for the remaining ones. “I hope I clear all my papers. Cracking the entrance test for MBA while working is difficult but I managed. I am happy with this decision of mine but sometimes studies get a bit boring,” said Ashima. Though she is open to more work but her focus is education. She will take up something only if it is very big or exciting.It’s a myth that good looking stars are bimbettes. Take the case of the lovely Ashima Bhalla who is gearing up for her MBA exams. The actress is doing her MBA in marketing. Ashima who debuted on TV with Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni had earlier also done an item number in Sanjay Dutt starrer Hathiyaar along with few movies down south and some ad films. Instead of exploring new avenues in her acting career, she made up her mind to pursue MBA.

Ashima Bhalla who rose to fame with Meri Aawaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni is planning a break. It’s just been one and a half year since Ashima made her television debut. Now it’s heard that the show will be pulled off air soon.Confirming the news Ashima says, “Yes, it’s true that Meri Aawaaz is going off air but I don’t know when. It’s a channel decision.“It’s great being part of the show. Secondly, this is my first show on television and it has given me immense popularity. Well it’s sad that the show is soon to end but I’m grateful that I got the opportunity to work with this team,” she adds.

Meri Awaaz is one of the new shows which has created its name in a very short period of time as compared to the other long running soaps on the same channel.

Normally every new soap faces difficulties in enticing viewers initially. But here the credit goes to the creative heads of Meri Awaaz who have poured all their energies in making the show an instant hit.

The story has enough twists and turns. Like noone thought that Raj will launch Ria instead of Sudha his lady love. Ashima Bhalla has no doubt portrayed her character beautifully along with Karan Grover, the earlier lead in Saarthi.

I really like Karan as Raj who has displayed his acting abilities and people really like his passionate, loving yet jumpy character in the show. A soapy and frothy combination of sentiments that sometimes it becomes difficult to distinguish between feelings as they are so interconnected like love and selfishness as in the case of Ria (Saumya tandon).

Meri Awaaz doesn’t have hundreds of characters in it but the producers have proven that even with a small starcast one can make things happen.

I wish all the best to the show and hope that in the coming weeks there will be many more exciting twists and turns which will entertain the fans.

Ashima Bhalla who portrays the role of budding singer Sudha in Star’s Primetime show Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gyae Roshini is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of her character. In one of her forthcoming episode viewers will see Sudha keeping maun vrat for the success of her love Raj. So high was her dedication that this bubbly young girl who speaks at a speed of Rajdhani Express actually kept maun vrat on the day when this episode was getting shot, leaving the directors, crew members clueless about her strange act.

Actor Ashima Bhalla, the protagonist (Sudha) of Star Plus’ prime time show, Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni, is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of her character. In one of the recently canned episode, Sudha had to maintain a maun vrat, in order to pray for the success of her love, Raaj. And Ashima decided to literally push envelop by keeping mum for the whole day when the episode was being shot.

“I did it for fun but believe me, it was very difficult for a loquacious person like me to keep a maun vrat,” says Ashima. And Bhalla’s real act gave the crew a pretty tough time. “Every body was at their wit’s end trying to figure out what is wrong with my voice. They even tricked me to speak, but in vain,” she laughs.
