Ekta to sue actresses
Yesterday Sara Khan (Sadhana) and Parul Chauhan (Ragini), the lead actresses of Sapna Baabul Ka - Bidaai, had told us how Ekta Kapoor had tried to woo them both with offers of new shows but they had turned her down. They also claimed that Ekta had invited them personally to a party she had thrown last weekend. Well, now the two girls will be sued by Ekta Kapoor, who says that the girls’ claim is a blatant lie. She is now in the process of sending them a legal notice for using her name to promote themselves and their show.Says a livid Ekta, “I am shocked that someone could have this kind of imagination. In the last 16 years of my career in this industry, I have seen all kinds of games around me but this takes the cake. As far as Kyunki… going off air is concerned, let me tell you that I have just signed a fresh contract with Star TV for the show. I am slapping a legal notice on them for using my name in such a way.”
The new entrant amidst the galaxy of actors in Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is Yash Tonk .Yash has entered the show as Ganga’s (Shilpa Saklani) past love and will have gray shades to his character.Talking about his character, Yash says, “I am playing Shiv Singhania who is filthy rich, powerful, sophisticated man and an obsessive lover. I was a part of Ganga’s life but circumstances didn’t allow us to end up together. Her exit from my life has brought a lot of changes in me. Now I want her back in my life at any cost.I will make it difficult for Ganga and her husband Sahil.”Co-incidentally, Yash’s character in his afternoon show Karam Apna Apna is also called Shiv. 
Sara Khan celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, August 5. Despite being busy with shooting, Sara had a bash with her beau Ali Merchant in the night. Since, she was busy shopping for her big day when we called her up, Ali gave us details.
Katrina Kaif was on Baa Bahu Aur Baby to promote Singh is Kinng.Producer J.D. Majethia, who plays the role of Arvind, gave us details.He reveals, “It was Baby’s birthday that day so we prepared one item song for Katrina. We wanted to show the song is cool and that we can actually play garba on it.Slowly everyone came on the dance floor. It was a nice gesture.We also taught a gujju line to Katrina - manne bau maja ave che.” Praising Katrina, he says, “I met her when I went to Salman’s place with Vipul during an IPL match.Our entire cast was very thrilled to watch her.Whenever a beautiful actress comes on sets we feel happy and get a lot of energy.Katrina too was very professional and nice to us. She stayed back till we finished the shoot and did not ask us to hurry up.” 
In a tragic twist of events,Voice of India 2007’s winner, Ishmeet Singh, passed away yesterday.Ishmeet Singh, Star Voice Of India’s winner last year, passed away in a swimming accident in the Maldives on Tuesday morning.He drowned in his hotel’s swimming pool.Reports coming in suggest that 20 year old Ishmeet was in the hotel pool with his friends when the incident occurred. Ishmeet was immediately rushed to the local hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police authorities in Maldives have not yet released an official statement.
Kinshuk Mahajan who plays Ranveer in Bidaai is happy about fact that he has got a chance to play a romantic character. Kinshuk told us about his character and the compliment he received from Saroj Khan.“It is a hit and miss romance which is going on right now in the show. I am really enjoying it. Romance comes to me naturally. It doesn’t require special effort to do romance. There are lots of twist and turns in the story like we will not come together so easily…so you have to watch out for what will come out finally. Chemistry between me and Parul is very good. We are more like friends. And so we end up needing a lot of retakes for a romantic scene because whenever we start doing any romantic scene we break in to laughter,” laughs Kinshuk.
Ekta Kapoor’s Kasturi will witness the entry of Riddhi Nayak in the coming episodes!!The actress Riddhi was earlier seen playing the role of Purva in Zee’s Kasamh Se.According to our well-placed source, “The character played by Riddhi will accidentally meet Robbie aka Karan Patel and due to certain reasons, she will be staying at Robbie’s house”.The buzz doing rounds as of now is that the new girl might turn out to be the real Kasturi,and that Shubhangi Atre might leave the show.When asked Riddhi about her entry and future track, the actress remained tight lipped as she says,“I will not want to comment on anything right now”. 
Shweta Tiwari, one of the first glamorous bahus on television, is making her comeback with a show Aaja Mahi Ve where she will be judging couples on their dancing skills. As a first time judge on any reality show, Shweta told us her strategies of judging.“This is the first show for common people. Some of the couples’ families are not even aware that they are very serious about this relation. So they want to prove this to their families that they make a good pair and in testing times too they will be there for each other.It is a kind of test of their faith in each other. So those who will pass these tests, I think we will sponsor their wedding,” she says.
