The singer cum actress Rajeshwari Sachdev has not been seen much on television. She was last seen hosting Sony’s K for Kishore but after the show went off air, she just disappeared.But she has disappeared only to be seen on the global film map. Rajeshwari is working on her second international project.“I’m doing an international film called Family Affair. The post production work is on and the film is all set to release after two months that’s in August,” confirms Rajeshwari.She has bagged two Hindi films as well. “I’m doing one Shyam Benegal film and another Bollywood flick for which the shoot will start in September. Till then I would not like to talk about it,” concludes the actress.

Amit Paul Returns in K for Kishore.If you are wondering where Amit Paul vanished after coming on K for Kishore as an IBN 7 Challenger, you’re not the only one. But there is good news in store for all Amit fans as the adorable singer makes a comeback on the show. Rumours were that Amit was indisposed and far too unwell to come to the studio. But meanwhile he had other prior commitments which had to be kept, and Amit did not back down in keeping them.

But now as he returns to the show, we wonder what awaits him? Anyways his fans can watch out for his new song, the title track of Love Story 2050. This song has Amit Paul making his presence felt in the world of playback singing. Amit’s many female fans are already swooning!

As the three judges of K for Kishore have given their verdict and named the top 5 finalists of the show, the legendary singer Asha Bhonsle takes over as judge in the quest to crown Kishore Kumar’s heir apparent.Ashaji seemed quite exuberant to be on the show as she says, “I am very happy to be here as the judge on the show. K for Kishore has given these singers a very good platform to showcase their talent. Sony has done a good job of coming with a different concept as such.” So how does Asha plan on judging the contestants? “I have no particular plan as such. I will first listen to them singing, and see how they perform, the quality of their voice, the rhythm in which they sing, etc, based on which I will give them pointers and marks.”

The Amitabh Bachchan Special continues on Saturday in the presence of the Special Guest Javed Akhtar and Nagesh Kukunoor.Arnab Charaborthy opened his innings with Angrezi mein bole… which had a young girl from the audience promptly walk up to the stage and present him with a rose and ask him for a date! Taken aback by the proposition Arnab refused the offer. It is only on the insistence of Rajeshwari and the judges that he responded with an appropriate song for his young fan bagging the title of Dostana for his performance from Javed Akhtar.

Rex is not new to reality shows and has a big fan following, and when asked what made him choose the platform of K for Kishore, he said, “Well I heard and saw the first episode of the show when I was in the US. I know most of the singers like Nayan Rathod, Chintan Bakiwala, Chetan Rana as I have done stage shows with them. And I think it is a very good show, so I was quite ecstatic when I got a call to be a part of the show as a challenger. I accepted the offer as I am a great fan of Kishore Kumar and started off my singing career with one of his songs.

K for Kishore the great Kishore that brought Amit Paul to Sony’s K for Kishore. However, the Indian Idol 3 finalist incurred the wrath of other challengers after he was selected for the next round, without even having performed.

Among the judges, Amit Kumar was in sync with the agitators and was of the view that Amit Paul didn’t deserve to be selected. However, Bappi Lahiri disagreed with his co-judge saying that Amit Paul had already proved his mettle as a singer and it will be a loss to not have him in the show. Sudesh Bhonsale found merit in both his co-judges views and after a healthy discussion, the trio agreed to have Amit in the show.

There is a big surprise in store for viewers of K for Kishore. Marathi singer Milind Ingle will be joining the show as a celebrity contestant. The singer is the wild card entrant who won the Tata Indicom contest.Milind is a multi-talented singer. “I have always sung my own compositions. On K for Kishore too I’m going to sing my own compositions but in Kishore da’s style,” says Milind.“I heard about this contest and smsed them. I also recorded my voice and had sent it to the production house. After two days I received a calling saying that I was selected for a wild card entry in the show,” he explains.
