Annu Ki Ho Gayee Wah Bhai Wah on Star One will once again make some twists and turns in their show due to some alleged practical difficulties.The buzz is that Amir Dalvi’s character is to be winded up along with the dhaba track.This is due to the persistent illness of the cast and crew members who have been shooting in Film City in this unfriendly climate. It is now heard that in order to change the set, the creative team is changing the story.Creative director Annuneha informs, “Yes we are planning to wind up the dhaba track and Amir’s character but we are still working on the idea.”

Kanika Maheshwari the evil princess of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, has just entered Annu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhai Wah on Star One. “I play a village dancer called Bijli who has her eyes on Harjeet (Aamir Dalvi) who in turn is smitten by Annu!! She is a funny positive character who joins hands with Ashu to get Harjeet off Annu”, grins Kanika.Incidentally, Bijli’s track was supposed to be a cameo but it has been turned into a full-fledged character, as lead actress Sreejita De is down with Malaria. Changes in the script due to illness seem to be common these days. Rucha Gujrathi was roped in when Payal Sarkar of Waqt was down with chicken pox. Our source adds that Bijli’s character may be sided later once Sreejita is back to work.

The latest one to find her place under the sun is stand-up comedian Aarti Khandpal who was a part of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 3 . The lady is going to make a cameo appearance in Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah which will run for a span of two weeks.Stand – up comedians are finally getting their due. With the success of comedy shows stand-up comedians are also achieving much popularity. Where the likes of Sunil Pal and Raju Srivastava are being seen in movies, the others are accommodated in soaps.

Rajesh Bhatia, Creative Head of the show confirmed the news and said, “Aarti is playing the role of Maya who is a very warm and loving lady. She sympathises with Annu and Ashu who have eloped from their homes as their respective families are against their relationship. Maya feels for the couple as she too had fled from her home to marry the love of her life who is no more now.”

Veteran actress Krutika Desai has replaced Anisha Ahuja to play step-mother to lead Srejita De in Annu Ki Ho Gaye Waah Bhai Waah. Strangely, Krutika has replaced Kamya Punjabi to play the lead Reena Kapoor’s first mother-in-law in Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki on Sahara One.Krutika says, “It is a mere coincidence. Now I would get to play either mother or mother-in-law. My character in Annu Ki Ho… has gray shades where as it’s a positive role that I am essaying in Woh Rehne Wali… For this particular role, DJ Creations touched base with me and I accepted it because I really liked both my role and the concept of the show.”
