Mere Apne bids adieu

After a brief hide and seek about its flagship shows like Mere Apne and Jiya Jale, 9x has finally come out in open to clear the air. It has been announced by the channel that Mere Apne produced by Smriti Irani’s Ugraya Entertainment finally goes off air.According to a source from the production house the show will be pulled off air this month end or August beginning.When contacted producer Smriti reverted through sms stating that “Best speak to the channel.”However Indrani Mukerjea, Founder & CEO, INX Media, said, “We are hoping to entertain our viewers with Fresher, Bigger, and Better shows as we go along.
One of the most awaited 9x shows is Smriti Irani’s, ‘Mera Apne’. This daily has super star, Vinod Khanna essaying the lead role of Kashinath Pandey. Unlike popular perceptions, this is not Vinod Khanna’s first television venture. Infact, he had worked in Maharana Pratap some years back . Unfortunately that project did not take off.
