As Dulhann fans settled down last Wednesday to watch their favourite show they were in for a rude shock. What came on air was the same episode that viewers had seen the previous day! While everybody is speculating about the reasons behind the repeat telecast we throw some light on what really went wrong.It is reported that the lead protagonist of the show Divyanka Tripathi didn’t turn up for the shooting of the particular episode despite knowing that the show had exhausted its bank of episodes. As a result the channel was left with no choice than to telecast the prior episode.A well-placed source informs, “Divyanka didn’t turn up for the shoot citing the reason that she had an appointment with her doctor. Which doctor take an entire day to check a patient? Since the time their (Sharad and Divyanka) tantrums have been disclosed to the media their attitude has become worse.”

There goes another myth about television. One always thought iconic figures on television were irreplaceable in audience minds. Going by that premise, one presumed Tulsi on Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was Smriti Irani, and vice-versa.
When Smriti, who’s synonymous with Tulsi, decided to leave Kyunkii… to pursue a career outside Balaji Telefilms as a software producer and an actress, it was presumed that her parent-serial’s fortunes would plummet drastically. TV actor Sachin Sharma is upset with Milind Soman. The model-turned-producer, Milind has not paid him for his work in TV serial Hum Tum (Zee Next).
Sachin, who catapulted to fame as Krishna in Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, tells this paper that Milind owed him Rs 7.5 lakh. He said, “Milind kept procrastinating the issue whenever I asked him about my dues.

I didn’t expect this from Milind. This is just not done.”

The show which depicts the youth of today, Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi on NDTV Imagine is having a gala time during the shoot. Three lads of the show Nikhil Roy, Abhimaan Balhara and Vivek Madam have a play station on the sets.“When ever all three of us get time, we pounce on to the video games that we have in our play station on the sets,” says Nikhil.“I love to play war games and car racing like NFS. Sometimes if Aproova is on the sets he also joins the gang,” he adds further.Nikhil Roy essays a grey shade in the show. “Well eventually its grey but later on it will turn positive. Then you will see me in the as a lover boy,” he quips.

For several weeks, Reena Kapoor maintained that she was in a dilemma whether to quit Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki or not? Well, she has finally made up her mind. Reena’s decided to quit the show.Reena’s departure is also resulting in a change of track with the show opting for a generation leap. Confirming the news, Reena says, “yes, there will be a generation leap but I’m not going to be a part of it. I didn’t want to play an older character thus I chose to quit the show.”Reena alone isn’t bidding good bye to the show. Reality show judges across the board are facing the ire of the public and the media after Shinjini Sengupta, a contestant from a regional dance reality show, went into coma unable to digest her loss and the ‘harsh’ comments from the judges. While it must not be discounted that Shinjini’s case has served as fodder to the media to crack down on such reality shows but it has raised certain valid questions. As Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 gets underway in a few days its judges had to face the music at the show’s launch yesterday.The jury panel of Himesh Reshammiya, Aadesh Srivastav, and Shankar Mahadevan must have expected an easy evening but they were bombarded with uncomfortable questions from the media. The fourth judge Pritam was spared the blushes as he arrived way after the press conference was over.

Mansi will play the role of Mohini who has been created by the King of Gods, Indra and Kaamdev. The actress is quite upbeat about doing the show as she is a Vaishno Mata devotee in real life. It is to be learned that Mansi, a very spiritual person, had gone for a visit to the pilgrimage of Mata Vaishno Devi and she got the offer to act in the mytho immediately after her return from the visit. It was a very shocking moment for all of us as no one expected this to happen. The Chaturvedis, Rizvis and the Khandilkars were in the bottom three. We thought that Chaturvedis will say good bye as their performance was considered weak vis-à-vis the two families.”One to be upset by this result was none other than the host, Umrila Matondkar. “Urmila felt bad about their elimination. She said that Maharashtra is not listening to them and that the audiences should judge the contestants properly. However, Khandilkar family took this decision very sportingly.
